Zubin Siganporia

Advisory Board

Zubin Siganporia is a mathematician and data scientist with a background in advanced analytics, machine learning, and optimisation. He founded QED Analytics in 2011 and directs the company's commercial projects, where he works on a wide range of industrial problems involving mathematical modelling and data-driven decision-making. Alongside this work, Zubin has held long-standing academic roles at the University of Oxford, where he has taught mathematics since 2011 across a broad spectrum of topics including number theory, probability, graph theory, complex analysis, and statistics.

Zubin's academic career has been marked by a series of prestigious awards and prizes, including the Sir Michael Atiyah Prize in 2010 and the Oxford Junior Mathematical Prize in 2011. In recognition of his teaching excellence, he received the Departmental Teaching Award in 2015 and was named Most Outstanding Tutor across the Mathematical, Physical, Life and Engineering Sciences by the Oxford University Student Union in 2016. His commitment to teaching is matched by a passion for public engagement in mathematics. He serves on the advisory board of the National Academy of Mathematical Sciences, is a De Morgan supporter of the London Mathematical Society, and acts as a spokesperson for the Campaign for Mathematical Sciences.

In addition to his academic and advisory roles, Zubin is a frequent speaker at conferences and public events focused on artificial intelligence and data science. He has appeared on the BBC, The Times, and Home Counties radio to discuss the implications of AI and analytics for society.

Outside of his professional work, Zubin is a classical guitar recitalist, and has competed internationally in chess and racketlon.
