With a lifelong passion for health, wellness, and nutrition, Steve’s natural curiosities around food led to him learning about the massive impact the food system has on our planet, and all that are on it. These learnings were unshakable and drove his decision about a decade ago to combine his professional background in finance with his passion for improving our food system.

At Synthesis, Steve is focused on identifying visionary founders tackling some of the most pressing issues across the food value chain and supporting them along their journey as they scale their businesses, and impact.

Prior to Synthesis, Steve led the investment activity as Partner and Head of Investments at Clear Current Capital, an early-stage venture firm focused on sustainable food and agriculture at pre-seed through Series A. He also has experience at other venture firms in the sustainable food ecosystem, as well as with leading strategy consulting and institutional asset management firms.

Steve holds a BS in Finance from The College of New Jersey and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
